Get paid by card, into your own Stripe

Connect Stripe from Payments, then Integrations. Nexus sets up a Stripe account in your name with its full Dashboard, and Stripe collects the details it needs. Nexus takes no cut of card payments; Stripe's own fees are paid from your account as usual.

Customers open the invoice link with no sign-in and pay the balance, or part of it, by card. A receipt is emailed after each card payment, and you can see on every invoice whether card payments are available.

For money that is not an invoice, such as a call-out fee or a deposit before an estimate, make a payment link with a title and one amount that includes tax. Make it single-use or reusable, and set an expiry date if you want one.

If you want to pass on card costs, set a surcharge from 0 to 5 per cent. The customer sees it before they pay, it is charged on top, and it is never added to the invoice itself.

Refund a payment in your Stripe Dashboard and Nexus records it, in full or in part, and reopens the balance. If a refund fails it is put back as paid, and a dispute alerts your team.

Record a payment that arrived by bank transfer, cash or cheque. A mistake is reversed, not edited, so the history stays whole. Reports show what you invoiced, received, are owed and what is overdue, by month, quarter or financial year.
